About Logging In

Logging in means identifying yourself to DutyMan so that it can present information about you and your duties.

DutyMan keeps the logging in process as straightforward as possible, balancing simplicity with the need to protect your data.

Quick Login

On your computer you can login with a link customized for you. Just click the Quick Login link and you’re in.

On your phone the Quick Login link opens a phone-friendly app with your club or organisation’s programme of events and details of your duties. Confirm attendance and arrange duty swaps.

These links are in emails that DutyMan sends you and on the My Login page when you have logged in.

No-Password Login

The starting point is your club or organisation’s DutyMan home page. You should find a link to it on your club or organisation’s website. Otherwise either search for it here or ask your DutyMan administrator.

Open the home page and, in the Log In panel on the right, type either your email address or your login name – that’s usually the name your club knows you by. Press the green arrow or the return/enter key on your keyboard.

DutyMan sends you an email with a link in it. Press that link and you are logged in.

If logging in this way fails it is probably because your email address or username isn’t correct. Check for typos and, if you can’t see anything wrong, talk to your DutyMan Administrator – it may be that they don’t have the right details for you.

Login with Password

You can skip the email loop by setting up a password. Just type in both login name and password and you are logged in straight away. It’s even quicker if you let your password manager remember you.

Setting a Password

Passwords are optional in DutyMan. There are always ways to login without one but a password can speed up the login process. To set one up, or recover a lost one, log in using either Quick Login or No Password then go to the My Login page.

Passwords in DutyMan are one-way encrypted so they can never be revealed. Always follow advice for setting strong passwords.

Covid-19: How DutyMan Can Help

Free use for charities and volunteer groups

Many charities, health departments and medical practices have found that DutyMan works well for organising volunteers and duty rotas. If you are part of, or know of, a group helping out during the coronavirus pandemic and who need a quick and easy way to marshal volunteers then they can start using DutyMan straightaway with a free trial. Trials are nominally for 90 days but we promise to extend them indefinitely for free to support people involved in Covid-19 response.

Payment Holiday

We appreciate that some of our customers will suffer financially in the coming months so our message is simpleif you can't pay your subscription right now, just don't We won’t turn anybody off and we’ll sort it out in an amicable way when this is all over.

Member Communication

It is now particularly important to get information to your members quickly and electronically. The DutyMan Mailer can be really useful so we have now made it available to all free of charge during this shutdown period. Enable it at >Set Up >Additional Features. If you need help with setting it up do get in touch.

Also Events & Duties Manager has a quick way to cancel an event and automatically advise those on duty.

How you can help us

If you are not running events right now please don't send duty reminders! You can delete or cancel the event or stop sending reminders altogether. That will free up capacity for more essential emails.

If you need to get in touch please email support@dutyman.biz rather than phone. Emails provide a written record and enable us to work more efficiently.

And finally, we expect the DutyMan service itself to be unaffected by Covid-19.

Thank you and do stay safe and well.
